The second CHQ Dragon Boat Race was an overwhelming success, with over 25 boats competing on Chautauqua Lake. Hundreds gathered at Lucille Ball Memorial Park in Celoron for the races on August 12, 2017 participants, friends and family shared in a fun-filled afternoon of friendly competition that benefited the Chautauqua Lake Association.
“In the eyes of the committee it was a tremendous success,” said Heather Nolan, who co-chaired the event and is the CLA’s finance and community relations manager. “We wanted this to be a community event about the lake. Seeing all these people enjoying the lake is wonderful, It’s a beautiful part of our county and it’s something that should be utilized like this all the time.”
