The dragons are back on Chautauqua Lake. The third annual Dragon Boat Race is scheduled for August 11, 2018 at Lucille Ball Memorial Park in Celoron, NY!
The Dragon Boat Race will provide all the necessary equipment needed to participate including the boat, paddles and lifejackets. Crews do not require prior experience, a steersperson is provided along with training before the scheduled race day. Participants simply need the desire to enjoy a friendly, team building athletic competition!
The event is a full day of racing; each team races three times advancing into afternoon finals. For more information on the rules and structure of the day for teams competing please visit our TEAM Page.

In addition to all the fun on the water the park comes alive as race participants gather with their friends, family along and community spectators taking in the event. This event has something for everyone!

The CHQ Dragon Boat Race is pleased to once again partner with the Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union to offer the finale Rubber Ducky Race.
Over the past two years, the Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union has raised over $22,000 to benefit the Chautauqua Lake Association and Lakers Disabled Sled Hockey Team.

The Lucille Ball Memorial Park is a seven-acre public park at the southwestern end of Chautauqua Lake. The scenic park has public boat launch and dock, playground, basketball court with picnic tables and a ball shell.
